Prayer Basket

I recently had a wonderful idea...A prayer basket, something that could carry all thoses bits and pieces ready for a quiet time of prayer...

-a small bible

-some pens

-a small notebook

- a prayer diary

-a cross

and anything else special that you use during this time...one could create a Bible and prayer basket, which could also contain the bible study you're following...

Preparation for Godly work

This blog isn't just about my journey towards Godly Womanhood,

It's also about preparing myself for the life God has planned for me...hopefully that is to have a family and be a keeper of the home,



So in preparation,

1. I read books and gain knowledge of home making ect...


2. I read other blogs that also encourage Biblical principals


3. I listen to UCB radio, which has lovely and uplifting music


4. I pray, not only for the life I wish for, but also for the wisdom to carry out the huge task of doing so with Godly principals, kindness and laughter,


5. I help with the running of my father's home, this teaches me practical things...


6. I talk to other people, especially my grannies as both give me endless sources of wisdom.

Some things I wish I could do...

• I wish I could control God's plan for me (but in some ways i'm kinda glad I can't)
• I wish I never felt anger
• I wish I could be someone that never said a harsh or nasty word
• I wish I could completely give God control of my life
• I wish I could write a book
• I wish I had my future, now
• I wish I was taller
• I wish I could trust God completely
• I wish I lived in the countryside, with land and animals

I wish all these things... some of them are selfish, some are me trying to find a way to put God central in my life, But I know that I can only achieve these things with the help and guidence of God...

Godly Womanhood

Godly womanhood/wifehood is a very difficult thing to capture...possible but very tricky,

God has created it to be difficult so that a woman who is truly living for God stands out in a way that someone living for the Earth just can't...

he has created that person to show others how God transforms a life into something beyond precious...

Just look at Proverbs 31:

'she is worth far more than rubies'

'she brings him(her husband) good, not harm'

'she opens her arms to the poor'

'she makes coverings for her bed'

'she speaks with wisdom'

'she can laugh at the days to come'

'charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised'

...and this isn't even all of it...so I want to encourage you to read Provebs 31,

and pray to be closer to this image of a woman living close to God, and that he may guide you in your life...
